The birth of a baby is an exciting time, yet for the mum-to-be the thought of labour pains can be quite worrying.

TENS is an alternative, drug-free method of pain relief, which allows you to control the pain caused by labour contractions.

TENS can be used along with other pain relief measures such as gas and air or pethidine and, unlike other forms of pain relief, can be used from the start of labour. 

When a contraction starts, MamaTENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation) masks the pain by blocking the path the pain takes to the brain with an electrical signal and stimulating the production of natural painkillers, called endorphins.

Simple to use controls ensure that you have
the right level of pain relief, when you need it.

If you are interested in placing an order, simply
pick-up an order form from your local Davidsons
Chemist, fill in the relevant details.  The unit will
be available for you to pick up two weeks prior
to the due date of your baby. 

Rental costs £27.50 plus a deposit of £15 which
will be returned when the unit is returned in the
state it was given out.

The standard hire period is for 30 days. However, providing we are notified before the end of this period, we can extend the hire by two weeks, at no extra charge.
