Smoking Cessation Service
Our Tayside branches (see below) can now offer you one to one support and supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy, which means you don’t need to go to your GP for a prescription.
The NRT is provided on prescription and you will only pay the cost of a prescription charge for every 4 weeks supply of product. If you are exempt from prescription charges, the product is free.
You will be asked to visit your pharmacy for 5-10 minutes, once a week for up to 12 weeks, at a time that suits both you and the pharmacist. Most of our pharmacies have a private area that can be used for the consultation. Our pharmacist and trained staff will provide you with lots of practical advice and support. Monitors will be used (as shown in picture) to show you how the damaging levels of carbon monoxide are reduced.
If you feel you are ready to quit then pop into one of our pharmacies where our staff will help you choose a quit date then arrange a return appointment.
